Tested in Mobile and Home shack. MARS mod. Made contacts on most bands. Noise blanker in mobile worked great.

I paid $500 recently for one, but didn't get the extra filters or tuner. And, I haven't tested it yet! Kenwood's documentation seems excellent.

This rig has both CW and SSB filters ($300 value), USB PC control chips and cable, and puts out 100w all bands. It is a good rig and easy to use. Works with Ham Radio Deluxe!
