Southern Maryland Amateur Radio Club (SMARC)'s Indenpendent Power Round Table Show & Tell Event! FREE....FREE, FREE...FREE, FREE, FREE. Yes, it's free. :) Thinking about building a Go Box? Concerned about power options? Solar? Charge Controllers? Wiring? Well..here is your chance to view, play with and ask questions of those who have been there! As a follow up, there is a another event mentioned at the bottom of this flyer. It's the Annual Ft. Washingtong ARC Connector Workshop! This is a great event showing you how to crimp, solder, connect, disconnect (sometimes not intentionally), reconnect just about anything. Coax, powerpoles, Delphi connectors, best batteries for a portable station, etc. Plus the snacks are awesome. Stay after the workshop and enjoy a terric meal. Contact information is below but if I can be of help, don't hesitate to contact me. Steven, KC3DSO, kc3dso@gmail.com. See you there!

Please bring your equipment to share the construction, and more importantly, the power distribution in your portable, mobile, go kit, or table top of stuff station. Explain why you chose the type of hardware, construction, and power distribution techniques. Discuss the triumphs, failures, redesigns, and actual experience of using your gear in the field. Of specific interest will be the capacity of the various types of batteries. This will be a great opportunity for those thinking about or are in the process of putting together a field go kit station or vehicle station to see how others have addressed construction and power distribution. It will give those with field stations already built the opportunity steal the great ideas of your fellow hams to improve your field station. This will be a good precursor to KB3SWS Pam and KB3SPH Jeff’s Connector Workshop on 4/28 where you can actually work on the power distribution of a go kit or mobile station.

This jumbled my text a bit. The snacks/dinner is after the Connector Workshop on 4/28. Not at the SMARC Independent Power event.

This Indenependent Power Event is being held on Friday, April 12, 2019 at 1900 hours.
