The Board has discovered that Sprint, though a special arrangement with the FCC, is offering WiFi Hotspot service to 501(c)(3) corporations for only $120 per year. That's right, $10 a month. But before we jump on the band wagon and get one for the AARC, we would like to determine what kind of signal levels we might have from the nearest Sprint cell tower. Their charts online claim their highest level of signal coverage in our area, but charts can be misleading. The nearest Sprint cell tower I could locate was in Dunkirk, which is not exactly next door.
So if you have a Sprint Cell Phone, and could bring it to next week's meeting, we should be able to read your signal strength and determine whether 4G service would be possible or not.
Thanks in advance. 73's!
