The club's packet station is back up and running as of today, 7-30. It is using the antenna that is 100 ft. up on the main tower. It's running standard RX.25 and TCP/IP. The site is set up to be a BBS and a digipeater. The Frequency is 145.05 and the transmitter is 25 watts with a TNC2 clone in KISS mode. The software is JNOS running on a very old '386 with DOS 6.20. Have fun.

Learning the packet station...
The week it went on the air, I was able to connect quite easily to the station with 5W from my QTH. Perused the directories to get use to the structure of the system, reminded me of the good 'ol BBS days (Remember Fido-Net?) I've got a 486 ready to donate, will bring it to the meeting thursday and we can maybe think about making it a backup/replacement for the current 386. It's got Win-3.1, Dos 5.0, and even a network card! Classic!
