This event sponsored by CQ magazine is a lot of fun and is very much like a world wide field day. What makes this event a lot of fun is that DX stations are really trying to work US stations because we have so many prefixes in our call signs. Call sign prefixes are multipliers and scores mount up quickly. The CW version of this event is May 24-25.
Our goal is to work at least 100 countries during the weekend. The last time we worked the contest we worked about 90 countries but we weren't really trying very hard. Now at the bottom of the sun spot cycle band conditions will not be as good as they were three or four years ago. Lots of help will be appreciated. We'll be operating at the AARC Clubhouse on all the bands.
