Earlier this week I received a phone call from a lady who has been listening to our 105 repeater for some time using a receiver/scanner of some type. I chatted with her for about an hour and encouraged her to get her own license.
The following morning I mentioned the phone call and several people said, "Hi Jane" on the repeater.
Yesterday (Friday, 23 Oct) Jane called back and was excited about the fact that several people on the repeater had said hello to her. She also announced that based on that experience, she was ready to get her license.
So here's the rest of the story: Jane is blind and has some other not explained disabilities and she does not own a computer.
If anyone has the Gordon West Technician Class Audio CDs and could loan them to the club, it would be greatly appreciated.
