Look for me on 40 daytime phone this Memorial Day weekend. We will travel to Cape Hatteras on Friday and return on Monday. Each morning I will attempt to check into the East Coast Amateur Radio Service (ECARS) on 7.255 Mhz. I tend to check in to the net around the top of the hour anytime between 9 AM and noon.
I am a little unpredictable during a beach weekend (sleep in, eat breakfast, etc) and it is easier to play on HF while sitting on the beach as opposed to while driving but give it a shot any of the four days. Check in to ECARS and they will know if I have been on yet.
If you work me down there I can confirm Dare County, the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse (USA-119), or the Island (IOTA NA-067), or the state of North Carolina, your pleasure. QSL direct.
