Now that we are almost have everything unboxed from our move form Montgomery County to Anne Arundel County (Davidsonville) I have time to start looking at installing my tower.
Looking for pointers, or anyone to pass on their recent experience, with Anne Arundel County and their trials and tribulations in getting a permit.
I am not in a restricted zone along the water and I have an HOA approval letter. My property is zoned RA. The tower is 61’ tall, free standing, tilt-over. I have a Maryland PE stamped engineering drawing spec’d at 23 sq ft at a BWS of 80MPH (Anne Arundel is listed as a 75MPH BWS). The tower will also be sited at least 100’ from the closest property line.
The tower was installed just a little over a year ago at my old QTH in the very restrictive Montgomery County and I walked in and out with a permit in 15 minutes. I am hoping that AA is just as easy.
