After listening to the morning commuter net for a couple of days at my desk at work it makes me wish I could interact with the group. I had to run out to the car to check in briefly to contribute some comments.
If we had internet available at the clubhouse we could put up an IRLP and/or an EchoLink node there. Of course with EchoLink and a headset I could log into the net at my desk assuming I can get it around the corporate firewall. I think I have a way to do that either by remoting into a machine at home or by proxying through my home router after replacing its firmware. With IRLP if there is a node close enough here in Rockville I could get in that way with an HT.
Just some thoughts.
It's been talked about at past meetings. Does anyone know how things are moving along toward getting a broadband Internet connection at the clubhouse?
